What Seedance 2.0 Mini is for

  • Finding the shot before you commit to it — OpenRouter bills it at half Seedance 2.0's per-token rate, on the same durations and the same seven ratios.
  • Any length from 4 to 15 seconds, a second at a time — well past the 8-second ceiling on both Veo tiers.
  • Reference-led work: with Seedance 2.0 it is one of only two models here that takes reference images, up to four.
  • Ultrawide and vertical: seven ratios including 21:9 and 9:21, which no other video model here offers.

When not to use it

Mini stops at 720p. For 1080p or 4K — same clip lengths, same seven ratios, same four references — use Seedance 2.0.

All seven take a first frame and a last frame, and all seven can generate audio with the clip, so neither is a column. “Clip length” is the span the model accepts — Veo takes only 4, 6 or 8 seconds inside its range, the rest take every whole second. “Billed” is the unit the provider charges in: a per-second model's cost is settled before the job runs, a per-token model's moves with the resolution you pick as well as the length.
