How to make an ad

Take a product and a rough idea to a finished ad creative on one canvas: brief, script, visuals and variants, each step wired to the last so nothing has to be re-explained.

25 minutes · 6 steps

  1. Put the product on the canvas

    File node

Drop your product shots, the spec sheet, and any existing creative into File nodes. Everything downstream reads from these, so the more concrete the source material, the less you have to describe later.

  2. Write the brief in a Note

    Note node

One short note: who it is for, what they currently believe, and what you want them to do. Keep it to a few lines — this is the thing every later step will be wired to, so it needs to be readable at a glance.

  3. Draft the angles

    Chat node

Wire the brief and the files into a Chat node and ask for five distinct angles, not five rewrites of one. Because the brief is connected rather than pasted, you can edit the note and re-run without retyping any of the context.

  4. Pick one and write the script

    Chat node

Branch a second Chat off the angle you want. Ask for the hook in the first three seconds, then the body, then the call to action as separate beats — it is easier to swap one beat than to regenerate a whole script.

  5. Generate the visuals

    Image node

Wire the script and the product shots into an Image node so the render has both the words and the actual product to work from. Aspect ratio here should match where it is going: 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, 1:1 for feed.

  6. Build the variants

    Output node

Duplicate the hook node and change one thing per branch — the opening line, the visual, the offer. Everything downstream re-runs off the change, so you end up with a set you can test rather than a single asset you have to defend.

What you end up with

A finished ad creative plus the brief and script that produced it, all still wired together on the canvas — so the next variant is a change to one node, not a new start.
